Why did I, a non-observant Jew, spend nearly two years visually studying and celebrating Hasidic devotion?  This 7.5 minute video traces my journey back through my childhood in Brooklyn during WW II to my 2006 visit to Los Angeles and the self discoveries I made in the process of producing the Hasidic  portion of “Spectacles of Devotion.”
